    Mathias Sinclair Voges: In 1967 Mr. Voges graduated as a fully qualified teacher at the national teacher’s training College in Maastricht. He then attended the Teacher’s Training College for Geography on Aruba. In 1981 he became the headmaster of the department for lower general secondary education at the Milton Peters College in Cul-de-Sac on St. Maarten.
    From 1983 to 1987 Mr. Voges was the general principal of the Milton Peters comprehensive school. Between 1987 and 1991 he worked as an educational officer at the Catholic foundation of Education in the Windward Islands. From 1991 to 2010 he was the Director of Catholic education in St. Maarten. He was also the founder of several elementary schools and of one secondary school. Mr. Voges was also the chairman of the board of directors of the University of St. Martin. Mr. Voges was board member of several foundations for the preservation of cultural heritage of St. Maarten. From 1990 to 2008 Mr. Voges was acting Governor of St. Maarten and from 2008 to the 10th October 2010 he was member of the advisory council of the Netherlands Antilles. Since 10th October 2010 he has been chosen to become the first Plenipotentiary Minister of St. Martin of the state Cabinet. Mr. Voges has been decorated as an officer in the Order of Orange Nassau. In 1996 he received a pontifical award for his professional and voluntary work for Catholic education in the Windward Islands. Mr. Voges has also authored several books.
